STD
What are STDs?
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are serious, sometimes painful diseases
that can cause damage to your body if not treated. Some STDs infect only your
sexual and/or reproductive organs. Others can cause damage throughout the body.
The STD clinic is open Monday through Friday for testing and treatment.
Education and counseling is provided to all clients in a confidential setting.
When left untreated, some STD's may cause life-threatening consequences. Don't
let this happen to you....get a check-up.

Syphilis is increasingly spreading in
Escambia County. Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease that spreads from
person to person through direct contact with a syphilis sore. Symptoms may go
unnoticed or can include painless sores, body rashes, and/or patchy hair loss.
Correct use of condoms can help protect against syphilis. Get tested regularly
if you are sexually active, especially if you have unprotected sex and/or more
than one sexual partner.
