H1N1
Prevention
Prevent
the Spread of Disease
Prevent the spread of disease – especially seasonal flu and the newer H1N1
Flu – by taking these basic steps:
- Keep
Sick at Home
Stay home when sick for at least 24 hours after there is no longer a fever
without the use of fever reducing medicine.
- Wash
Your Hands
Make it a routine to wash your hands often with soap and water. Avoid touching
your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands.
-
Cover Your Cough
Cough into your sleeve or into a tissue, not into your hands.
- Get
Vaccinated
Get your seasonal flu shot. The H1N1 vaccine is currently available to anyone 6
months and older who would like to receive it. The CDC has designated
five
priority groups who are recommended to receive the H1N1 Swine Flu vaccine.
