SWAT ‘Student Working Against Tobacco’
SWAT is back! Already two high-schools,
Pensacola High School and Northview High School, have teams fighting the social
acceptability of tobacco. The program is giving a voice to the next generation.
As SWAT members, teenagers learn about the
industry’s past and present marketing and advertising efforts and are informed
of the current tobacco-related issues. The youth is also educated on planning
advocacy events and taking part in social marketing efforts to change social norms.
If you want to start a SWAT team in your
school, please contact us at 595-6072.
