Family Planning

Family Planning

The health department clinic offers a variety of modern methods of birth control as well as pregnancy testing and appropriate referrals. We also provide abstinence counseling and information about natural family planning.

Before you receive birth control through the health department, you will have a clinical exam by a Nurse Practitioner or Doctor. This exam includes a pelvic exam and a pap test (If you are due for one) to screen for cervical cancer.

  • Adults: The cost for birth control will depend on your ability to pay. Call 850-595-6554 for more information about cost.
  • Teens: Birth control for teens under age 18 may be available at no cost.
