Community Outreach

In July of 2006, the PACE-EH (Protocol for Assessing Community Excellence in Environmental Health) project in Escambia County was initiated. This outreach project is designed to investigate and address Environmental Health issues by working with community residents and governmental officials.  We have chosen to work in a small historical neighborhood in Pensacola called Kupfrian Park.  Our mission is to eliminate and control environmental hazards to protect and improve the health of the residents in this community.  The key to doing this is by taking a grass-roots approach and reaching out to the community, rather than always taking an enforcement approach.  Monthly meetings have been conducted with community residents and governmental leaders in attendance.

Take a look and see how far we have come on this important project!
