  • This program provides a pap smear and mammogram to help women over age 50 detect breast and cervical cancer before it becomes serious.

Breast Exams and Mammograms

Breast Exams
If you visit the clinic for birth control or a pap smear, you will receive a breast exam as part of that  physical exam.

Mammograms
We do not provide mammograms at the Health Department, however we do connect women with other programs that may help them receive mammograms:

  • We tell women who are 40 years and older about screening mammograms with the American Cancer Society.

  • Women who are 50 years and older and do not have insurance or Medicaid may qualify for the Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Program
