It often evokes the image of a child receiving a school vaccination, but the range of public health services and functions is very broad. We are a multicultural organization of public health professionals, here to serve our community. The mission of the Escambia County Health Department is to protect the public’s health by partnering with the community to: prevent disease, promote wellness, and prepare for disaster.
